Fishponds Asylum, Bristol
 

Fishponds Lunatic Asylum, also known as Fishponds House, Mason's Madhouse (!) was in the area bounded by Oldbury Court Road, Elfin Road, College Road, and Fishponds Road. This was a private establishment, founded in about 1770 by Dr Joseph Mason. It closed in 1850, and the patients were transferred to the new Borough Lunatic Asylum (# 4 above). Demolished about 1880.
