Welcome to the ROSSBRET Institutions

The National Health Service
The National Health Service was introduced in 1948 by the Labour Government
following The Beveridge Report of 1943. Aneurin Bevan was the Minister of
Health, and it was his job to implement the new Health Service.
It had become apparent from the time of World War 2 that a system of
organisation was required for all hospitals. From 1948 the Country was divided
into 14 Regional Hospital Boards and additional Teaching Hospitals.
