Dorset County Boys Home Located at Milborne St. Andrew, it was formerly a reformatory, but was converted to its present use in 1881, and will accommodate 80 boys (besides 30 on license) The boys are trained for agricultural pursuits, tailoring, shoemaking, baking and carpentering. This school was founded by the Late J.C. Mansel-Pleydell esq. of Whatcombe, and transferred to the County Council in 1901. John William Walker, Superintendant and Secretary.
