Cambridge Union

Cambridge Union Workhouse was erected at 81, Mill Road, Cambridge in 1838 from designs by the Architect John Smith. It became The County Infirmary in 1930, and then The Maternity Hospital in 1948 following the formation of the National Health Service. The Building became Sheltered Housing called Ditchburn Place in 1983, although the Hospital services were relocated to Robinson Way, Cambridge and renamed The Rosie Hospital.
