Longtown Union Workhouse
The Board meet at the Hallburn Poor Law Institution, monthly.
The poor law Institution for the Longtown Union, situated about 2 miles east of
the Town, in the Township of Netherby, is a large, convenient building, erected
in 1828 and will hold 130 inmates.
